review by Angela Carnival Games Rating: Carnival Games is the type of game that everyone should have for their Wii. It is great to play solo or multiplayer fun, and never becomes boring, with more than 25 games to choose from. It is extremely easy to pick up and play for all ages, and it is good clean fun. The game really represents a carnival in every way possible, starting with the perfectly accurate games (and game), bright colors, the chatty host, wandering carnival that goes by you, or play games beside you, and even the carnival music playing softly. You can almost smell the cotton candy!
What makes this game shine is well designed all the carnival games are. They work very well with the Wii-mote, and rarely miss a beat.

Some highlights of the Games + 25 included on this disc:

ALLEY BALL: The game is identical to a favorite game of many called “Skee-Ball. It is certainly one of the best games on here. It feels very realistic, the way you use the Wii Remote to kind of throw the ball (not tilt back and roll like bowling, but that kind of drop on the “street” as you really skee-ball). He is quick and precise, and difficult to stop playing!

SPILLED MILK: It you throw a ball at a stack of 3 bottles of milk. He narrowly misses the realism of Ball Alley, but it is always fun. He has you hold your Wiimote as if it were a ball, and you do a overhand throw to try to overthrow the bottles. Fortunately, he has a little marking on the screen to show where you knock before you start.

BALLOON DARTS: One of my favorites. This game has a corkboard covered with balloons that you must throw darts to pop. You hold your Wiimote as if it were a dart (really!) And make a short, sudden lunge forward with it as if you throw a dart. The precision of this game is incredible. I hit the ball little every time! In fact, once you win that game a few times, you can open a “super” version of this game you can play where he has a whole wall of balloons to pop in 30 seconds.

Shooting Gallery: This is another favorite. A perfect representation of the duck shooting game we all love in the fairgrounds. The little yellow ducks by scrolling, and you must use your Wii-mote like a toy gun to shoot them (to the target on the belly net you more points). The accuracy of this game is perfect.

HOOPS: This game has a basketball hoop in front of you, and you need to use your Wii-mote as if it were a basketball, using an overhand throw to get the ball in the basket. What really surprised me about this game is how once you throw the ball, it tells you where it will land, and you have a chance to turn the Wii-mote to make it more likely to go in the basket! You must be quick if! But it greatly increases the fun factor since you have great control over the ball.

Reach for the stars: This game was never one of my favorites in carnivals, and isn’t here either but I wanted to at least talk to those who love this popular game. You stand in front of a target star and rapid-fire 300 rounds to shoot out the star. It is perfectly true (can keep you stable enough for 300 rounds?) And I usually end up with about 85% without trying too hard.

HOLE IN ONE: I have not played this game, but the manual claims it is a miniature golf game that gives you 3 chances to putt the ball, but every time you do the movements hole. Funny, but I like golf.

RING TOSS: This is another of my favorites. It has a large surface of bottles arranged in a square, and you have to run rings in hopes of landing one directly on a bottle. You hold your Wii-mote type of frisbee-style and throw your ring against bottles. It is quite accurate and very fun. It looks and plays identical to the one you see at carnivals.

Day at the races: This is an odd take on horse racing. To get your horse to run, he must roll balls into holes at the end of a path (like skee-ball) as quickly as possible. The difference here is that there are just a few holes on a flat surface, but they have different values for different holes point. The higher your points, the faster the horse goes. It is quite fun if! And accurate too.

These are the highlights of Carnival Games. Other titles included in this: The Great Swami, Frog Leap, Bowler Coaster, Love-O-Meter, Pigskin Pass, buckets of Fun, Going Nuts, Clown Splash, Ka-Pow price Claw, nerves of Steel, Lucky Cups, Dunk Tank, and Push-To-price. In addition, you can open a few alternate takes of some games once you achieve certain goals.

And finally, for those of you who love the character customization, you get a little person who represents you in the game, and you can change her hair, clothes, face, accessories, etc to your liking. You will also acquire other items for your person or in the winner in the games or buy them with tickets. And you can also earn “shadow prices” in games (stuffed animals, toy cars, etc.), but these are just the image on your screen. Nothing special here.

In summary, Carnival Games is one thing-for the game, everyone has a timeless appeal and tons of variety. Best of all, you descend the couch and play as if you were really at the carnival? Do not forget the corn dogs!

review by C. Messerschmidt Carnival Games Rating: Talk about a surprise! This game delivers exactly what you expect … stupid fun single player. Try it during a break from “Metroid Prime Corruption. With several players, although this may be the ultimate game drunken Wii party! It is certainly much better than Wii Play and Mario Party 8. It’s a shame what has slipped under Rader site so many games and will probably not get the attention it deserves. This game perfectly fits the Wii … Fun for everyone of all ages.

  3. H. Cummings says:

review by H. Cummings Carnival Games Rating: Carnival Games is one of the first titles of my wife and I bought our Wii (based on the recommendation of a friend of my wife). The games use the Wiimote and using only fairly good idea of its motion-sensitive features.

The games are the kind you’d expect to find running by mid-Carnies Road State Fair … the kind that you know are fake, but you play anyway, hoping to score more than the size for your teddy bear darling. So, they are funny and often difficult, but I found the shooter to be extremely simple. On the other hand, some indirect purpose of play are really hard (as Flip the frog in the lily pads, or bounce the ball into the cups of color).

It’s a game good family. Good for a distraction when you want to play quick games wasting time with friends and family. They do not have any depth, we are not talking about the epic 40 + hour plot here. It’s really just a collection of mini-games.

Despite their lack of depth, I must say, any game that can get your game non-playing partner with you is a good thing !

review by A. Stagg Carnival Games Rating: I started to read the game descriptions on the product this month before its release. I am a big fan of mini-games, which looked like it might be useful. I suspected it might be a good game, but I did not expect to be great! Then I saw all the 5-star reviews and went ahead and bought a copy. Definitely not disappointed! This is one of the best games for the Wii, I played to date!

It is a game exceptionally well polished. The graphics are not fancy, but they are clean, tidy and well rendered. A real carnival feel to the product with bright colors, lots of kitsch, and some carnival hawkers slightly sinister but funny. The mini-games are addictive and fun. Some games are simple, while others are more difficult. It is easy to earn “tickets” if you’re a novice or expert player. You can then redeem your tickets to play carnival games or unlock a variety of masks and other accessories for your player to use in the game

I will not go into descriptions of individual games as other reviewers have done an excellent job. However, just like a real carnival, my favorite game is darts. I also took a liking to capture the dinosaurs with “The Claw”. This game is simple enough for small children to learn, but difficult enough for teenagers and adults. A great game for the Wii, controls are adequate and there is little or no bugs. You will want fried twinkies and cotton candy. Highly recommended!

review by DAP Carnival Games Rating: Lots of fun mini-games that are fun family. Different play modes. One player is the only way you can “earn money”. Has two multiplayer modes. Heads up, you can choose your own game to compete, while the competition of the game will randomly select five games to the competition. The tickets you win can be used to play arcade games or buy street clothes and others. Like a real carnival, you can trade for money you win bigger prizes.

The games are grouped into six lanes:
    1) Fortune Way – Alley Ball (aka skeeball), Test your strength, hoops, collection plate. The great swami – arcade game of bowls, which you need tickets to play
    2) Love Lane – spilled milk, balloon darts, Leap Frog coastet melon. Arcade game Alley-0-Meter Love
    3) rodents Row – shooting, passing pigskin, reach for the stars, buckets of fun. Alley arcade-Going nuts
    4) went Claw – Clown Splash, hole in one, ring toss, ka-pow. Alley Arcade game prices claw.
    5) Pass Lucky – Nerves of Steel, cups of luck today at the race, dunk tank. Alley Arcade game push a price.
    6) Price Boulevard – Each game has four prize levels. 4 Smalls, you can redeem against a medium, 3 large racks, 2 large “Grand Prix”. We did not get the great price we have to play for Mulitplayer, but I think it opens up new games.

Nothing new with using the Wii Remote .. Same Ol ‘than other mini-games.

Exchage We had the game because of problems with “rodents Row” screen. Everything was in boots so that you could never read or even make the charts. It has not all the time, but I thought it was better to exchange if for another. So far we have not had any problems with the new game
